Ian Randall

Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine

Ian Randall is a graduate of Medicine and Public Health (epidemiology) from the University of Toronto where he also completed his residencies in anesthesiology and critical medicine, and a fellowship in cardiac anesthesia, ICU and perioperative TEE. He is director of education for the ICU at Toronto Western Hospital. He is co-founder and medical director of UHN Prehabilitation, one of Canada’s largest clinical programs for prehabilitation for high-risk surgical candidates. His primary research interests include perioperative medicine, prehabilitation and the high-risk surgical patient, and is leading development of an ICU simulation curriculum locally for residents and fellows.
